Based in scenic Hualien on the more natural east coast of Taiwan, this folk rock trio breathes in their local atmosphere and exhales a fresh mix of American blues, Jazz improvisation and rock jamming. Their repertoire consists of original folk jams with poetic lyrics and alternate takes on songs by legends including Van Morrison, Leonard Cohen and Serge Gainsbourg while their message lies in environmental concerns, international crisis and healing through music.

Despite their recent hiatus, Fireflower became known for their heartfelt presence on the Taiwan often adopting roles as music teachers for their audiences. Playing in several pubs along the east coast and festivals like Wild Scream and Peace Fest as well as more unconventional places that have included orphanages, hospitals and prisons, Fireflower has left more than a few lasting foot prints on the island's local music scene.
