Characterized by DIY method and homespun packaging, Unwritten Homemade seeks to connect directly to the public by selling indie CDs at art fairs and music festivals. The label was started in 2008 by QQ, the former male member of punk band Mary Jane's Friends released material by indie pop group Freckle and the old school punk influenced Angry Young Man. Coinciding with a rise in open art markets selling hand crafts, Unwritten Homemade merch is often hawked at the one organized by White Label and held periodically at Taipei's youth center Ximen Ding. The label's CD packaging often resemble home crafts with design reflecting current trends in the indie art scene.
