Seamlessly moving from soothing acoustic indie to electronica-fused rock and ambient pop Ciacia seems like the impossible combination of Faye Wang and Stereolab. After beginning a career as a commercial musician she recorded her award winning first album in 1999. Her success built momentum for her second release Her Sheen Way in 2002; a production affair that took her to London for a mix down by Tore Johansson and mastering in NYC with Howie Weinberg. That being said, Ciacia probably has the best production credits on the island to date! Since then, the songstress has continued to be active in the local music scene releasing material on indie labels Gamaa Music and A Good Day.
During her career she became an indie pop phenomenon without ever going to the major labels. She has played at many of Taiwan's music festivals including Spring Scream, Ho-Hai-Yan, Formoz and Autum Tiger, and in between recording new material, she keeps busy designing websites, DJing for HitFM Network, writing lyrics for other artists and producing indie bands like Nylas. One of the staples of Taiwanese indie music, Ciacia is worthy of any attention.
