Led by songwriter and singer Luke whose haunting tenor vox floated over psychedelic effects and danceable electronics, Claire brought a unique sound to Taipei's underground scene. The group came together as mixture of acoustic strumming, subtle electronic loops and post-rock jams to make a successful fusion of Luke's inspirations which have included various British bands from Radiohead to Pink Floyd as well as indie-electronica projects like Air. During their career, Claire recorded numerous live tracks and demo cuts and even appeared on an indie film soundtrack entitled "Breathe," but unfortunately, never released an official album.
Claire started out playing at live houses like The Underworld and was occasionally an attraction alongside post-rock group Emily at Lim Giong's monthly Her-He parties which featured indie bands with electronic stylings between DJ sets. The group also made appearances at yearly festivals like Spring Scream. However, Claire lost momentum as Luke's art school projects took precedent and the band has not been active since 2006.
