When Infernal Chaos formed in 2004, they kick-started a new direction in Taiwanese metal away from nu metal trends and more towards crossover styles incorporating thrash and hardcore. The group was created by Jesse the Infernal who does double shred guitar duty in the renown symphonic metal orchestra Chthonic. Infernal Chaos recorded two initial mini-albums that sparked interest in the band locally and their first album Vision of Disorder released in 2007 brought them audiences overseas.
Infernal Chaos began promoting metal events at venues like The Wall in 2004 and soon became a major attraction for head banging fans and hardcore punks at festivals like Formoz and Spring Scream. Performing at festivals allowed the band to make a connection to the Japanese metal scene leading Infernal Chaos to complete two Japan tours alongside thrash outfit Grim Force and mega band Metal Safari. The group is still active among the Taipei metal scene playing shows as well as clocking in studio time.
