After the underground club Spin closed, the venue's DJs and partygoers found a new home at Party Room on 12th floor of Core Pacific City, also known as the Living Mall, in Taipei. After dark, the downtown mega shopping center becomes a major part of the city's vibrant nightlife which also houses the neighboring Plush lounge bar on the same floor. DJs Mykal, Spykee and Dino, who got their start at the dungeon-like SPIN, elevated to the city's high-rises when they became resident DJ's at Party Room. The club also features other prominent names in the local club scene like DJ Noodles as well as overseas turntablists. Many partygoers followed these DJs to the new venue because of their eclectic mix of popular hits and unusual underground tracks ranging in style from indie-electronica to Britpop, punk and alternative. Indie rock hipsters come here to mingle with weekend ravers.
