KAPITALISM MUSIC MAILORDER
During the early the 2000's, Kapitalism Music made available obscure indie and punk music predominantly through mail order via the label's website, but their merch was often hawked at festivals like Formoz as well. The company imported many of Benten Label CDs, Japan's all-girl band indie label featuring artists like like Petty Booka, Lolita No.18 and Mummy the Peepshow. Kapitalism also promoted local music, releasing the debut CD from screamo hardcore band Fall of this Corner and material by Glory, a folky indie pop icon. In recent years, Kapitalism teamed up with local animal rights activist Em taking part in organizing a Taiwan tour for Philadelphia straightedge punk band R.A.M.B.O. Kapitalism Music Mailorder might be inactive these days, but the distro and label have left their dent on the local music scene.
