Fall of this Corner combined garage explosiveness, emotional screaming and hardcore breakdowns in a way that would make you think their main influence was The Refused. Arising at a time in the Taiwan scene when nu-metal bands were labeled "punk" and indie kids weren't into thrashing to hardcore, Fall of this Corner managed to thrive making original and intense music despite being seen as oddballs. Between 2001 and 2005, Fall of this Corner appeared on White Wabbit Records' Lobo 1 compilation, released material on the now defunct distributor Kapitalism Music Mailorder and also made a split with the indie punk band Chasing Sparrow.

During their time, Fall of this Corner played punk shows in Taipei alongside hardcore bands like Hindsight 20/20, Vanish and The Deported as well as occasional Fei Records organized events at The Wall. They also appeared at major festivals including Spring Scream and Autumn Tiger where the wiry thin singer nick-named Monkey would scream unrelentingly into the microphone, then finish the set by standing on the bass drum with his back to the audience. I learned later that the reason why Monkey was so thin, was because he was trying to avoid obligatory military service only allowing himself one meal a day! Although Fall of this Corner disbanded in 2005, Monkey and Trix have formed Touming Magazine. Bassist Wayne now plays with Angry Young Man and drummer Adai has joined the hardcore group USEPENTOSING and grindcore outfit called Ashen. They still remain DIY and support the island's recent music undertakings including White Label, Unwritten Homemade, and Trix's own distro Chngnin Records.
