Having formed in 2005, Punkhoo are a fairly recent addition to the Taipei happy punk scene. Their youthful and naive approach to Green Day and Blink 182 style songs quickly won the appeal of Taiwan's teenage music fans. The trio has endured high school as well as obligatory military service together proving their dedication. Their first album Live & Life has been well received around the island and their music is talked about in places as far as China and Singapore.
Punkhoo started out tightening their songs and timing their jumps at live houses around Taipei like The Wall and Riverside Cafe. Their motivation worked to their advantage and they won the annual battle of the bands held at the Ho-Hai-Yan festival at Fulong beach in 2006. Since then, Punkhoo has recorded an album, fulfilled their military service obligation and returned to the stages of big festivals like Spring Scream and Formoz.
